Bella & Bear – Hair She Goes Hair Removal Kit

Bella & Bear hair she goes hair removal Bella & Bear hair she goes hair removal

Here is a brand new product which has just come to the UK from Bella & BearThe ‘Hair She Goes Hair Removal Kit’ consists of a pair of pastel pink slanted tweezers and a manual epilator, which is basically a spring with a plastic pink handle on either end.  The RRP is £36, which I think is quite expensive for what you get, but it is currently on offer at Amazon for £14.99.

Bella & Bear  are an American company which has just started to release their products in the UK.  They have a vintage style look and this reflects in their very cute packaging.  I must say the packaging is very eye-catching, I love the pastel colours and the floral design.

To use this product you bend the spring and hold a handle in each hand, you then roll the handle back and forth whilst holding it against the area you want the hair removed.  While doing this you slowly move the spring upwards on the skin, this results in the hairs being pulled out.  This first time I used this I found the pain unbearable, I had only tried it on my cheek and chin.  It gets every little tiny hair though, even the ones you can’t see.  The pain made me scared to keep trying it, but I did and you kind of get used to the pain, for me though this is very painful.  I find waxing my top lip excruciating though.  So if you don’t mind having your top lip waxed then this probably won’t hurt as much as it did for me.

I must be such as wimp though as I am yet to venture to use this on my top lip!  I just can’t face starting and having to finish the lot, being dark haired I have a fair amount of hair there and it hurts enough on my chin and cheek!  Also as I don’t like waxing my top lip I take the pain free option of bleaching, so don’t base how much this hurts on me!  Everyone else will probably be able to take the pain! ha  I must say though this definitely works very well, it does remove every little hair and if there is a stubborn one that won’t come out, you have the pair of tweezers that comes in the kit as well.  The results also last for weeks as the hairs are being pulled out from the root, so you won’t have to use this all the time either which is great.  If any reason you are not happy with this product they also offer a 100% money back guarantee, so you can’t really lose when buying this product.

bella & bear hair removal cat

My cat Mylo absolutely Loves this!  He thinks it is a cat toy obviously!  So not only is this a hair removal product but it can also be a cat toy when you are not using it.  This can keep your cat entertained for hours, just be careful that their hairs don’t get stuck in the spring and pulled out too!  I do find this quite fitting though as the brand name Bella & Bear is actually the name of two cats.  So the brand is named after cats and the product appeals to cats, how cool is that!  I do like the brand name, I may be a little biased as I also have a cat called Bella.  You can find the story about the brand name HEREIt is definitely worth a little read, it gives the brand soul and gives a personal aspect into the company.  It has highs and lows in the story, is a little sad but mainly happy.  If you like cats you will love it.

This is a handy little product to have in, it does what it is designed to do and it does it effectively.  When you want to remove hair in the comfort of your own home this is a good product to use (as long as you can take the pain!).  I do feel it is a little pricey for what it is, at the end of the day it is just a spring with plastic bits at each end and a pair of tweezers to go with it.  Amazon do have them on offer so you don’t have to pay full RRP for it, so it isn’t too bad for £14.99 as it is only a one off payment, you don’t have to pay out anymore to replace blades or any parts on it like you do for other products.  So it is a good investment.

Memebox Colorbox #2 Orange

2014-07-09 21.26.07

I was recently contacted by Memebox (pronounced Me, Me Box) who asked if I would be interested in trying one of their boxes to review.  Of course I was very excited about this and snapped up the opportunity.  I had not actually heard of Memebox before they had got in touch with me.  So I had a little look at their website and was excited to see that it was Korean beauty products, and I have always wanted the chance to be able to try some.

The box I was sent was the Color Box #2, price of the box is $15.00 plus $6.99 shipping, approx £12.82, which I think is a fantastic price.  In the box I received 4 Full Sized products, which came to the value of $39 approx £22.73.  I love the fact they ship to the UK for only $6.99, this makes their boxes so accessible.  They have a very large variety of boxes you can choose from and they also ship to 45 countries!

2014-07-07 20.13.24

1. Dearberry Flirt Lipstick 06 Million Dollar Orange – Full Size $12 (£6.99)

I was scared to receive an orange lipstick, but it is more a blood orange colour, so more red than orange.  It works a bit like a lip stain as well as its that vivid and a strong colour, it lasts a long time on.  It has lots of natural ingredients, Olive oil, cocoa butter and cupuacu butter.  It has a buttery smooth texture, and you don’t need to apply much to obtain full coverage.  I am happy with this product and I love the bright pink packaging!! Very girly!

2. Dearberry Today Nail Laquer 10ml – Full Size $3 (£1.75)

I received colour #20 Fantasy.  It is a nice coral orange, which is fantastic for the summer.  It is very easy to apply and gives good coverage with just one coat, but I still apply two coats.  The Today Nail Laquer series offer over 40 different shades, so lots of colours to pick from.

2014-07-07 20.14.04

3. L’OCEAN Eye Shadow, Pastel Orange – Full Size $10 (£5.83)

This is a great colour, not too sure how I will use it though as I don’t often wear orange.  It applies very easily, and is velvety smooth.  You can tell it is a good quality eyeshadow and will be long-lasting.

4. Tosowoong Bronze Spectrum Waterproof Gel Pencil #11 Sunshine – Full Size $14 (£8.16)

This is a waterproof gel eyeliner, in a metallic orange colour.  It looks bronze in colour, and it very easy to apply and easy to blend as well.  This will be good to add a bit of brightness to your eyes.  At first I was unsure how you sharpen this, as the pencil itself is plastic, after looking it up it appears you just sharpen it like any normal wooden pencil.  That will be interesting to try when I need to.  I like this product, and it will come on handy for the summer.

So I was impressed with this little box, and I have already ordered another one!  I can’t wait for that one to be shipped.  What I love the most is the prices! They are very cheap considering they are coming from Korea, and I get to try products I wouldn’t normally try.  I was a bit unsure about getting the Colorbox #2 Orange, but I was pleasantly surprised, and these are products I could actually use.  I was scared of the colour orange, as it is something I would never normally wear.

The boxes are very cute and bright pink, they come very well packaged and there were no customs charges which is great.  You don’t sign up to a monthly box, you just chose from the vast choice they have on their website, and you can order as many or as little as you want! But you still get the surprise of the monthly boxes where you don’t know exactly what products you will receive.

Memebox have different types of boxes to choose from:

Glamour magazine June

I couldn’t believe it when I saw what was free with this month’s Glamour magazine! Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner. Which is worth £12.  I received a sample of this eyeliner from Birchbox and I loved it.  But it has pretty much ran out now and I was going to order a full sized one.  Until I saw this magazine!! A free FULL SIZE Eyeko eyeliner! And the magazine itself is only £2…what a bargain! I quickly grabbed it off the shelf, made sure I picked the right colour and went and paid feeling very happy with myself.  They have black and navy colours to choose from, I went for black as that’s what I use daily.  When I got home I still couldn’t believe it and then decided when I next went to the shop I would pick up more.  So I have now stocked up on my Eyeko eyeliner, and won’t have to fork out the RRP. 😀
I thought I would share this with all of you guys, so no one misses out. It is definitely worth £2 just to add this little gem to your makeup bag.
Next month looks pretty good as well.  Some more good looking freebies, all products from Clinique.  Definitely worth another look next month then.
